About Divorce in Louisiana: The Legal Process, Your Rights, and What to Expect

Divorce in Louisiana uses a Q&A format to help people understand the legal process and what to expect. Ms. Fischer pays particular attention to the mediation process and how negotiated settlements can help spouses overcome even the most contentious disputes. For divorces requiring trial, she explains the step-by-step legal process and how judges based their decisions on the division of marital property and debt under Louisiana law, as well as custody and child support matters.

Ms. Fischer represents individual clients and offers mediation services in child custody cases, divorce and other family law matters. She is a certified domestic and juvenile mediator.
